After the last lot of the Toyota Land Cruiser was sold out, India got another lot of Toyota Land Cruiser, this time in the LC300 avatar. The Japanese auto giant not only introduced the Land Cruiser 300 in two new variants, ZX and GR-S but has also opened their order books for the same. That said, prices range between Rs 2.31 crore and Rs 2.41 crore (ex-showroom).
This model will take an entry on our shores via the CBU route straight from its origin nation. Needless to mention, it is loaded with a wealth of modern features and impressive performance also ensuring great off-roading capability. Before you confirm your purchase, let’s take a look at all that is on offer.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 retains its bold and muscular design but with a little more boxiness. At the front, it sports a chrome grille with horizontal slats, flanked by LED headlights with integrated headlight washers for better visibility in tough conditions.
Toyota claims the silhouette is now more aerodynamic, though the SUV still maintains its commanding road presence. Its high ground clearance further reinforces its off-road capabilities, making it a formidable choice for rugged terrains.
The ZX variant features the Toyota logo on the grille, while the GR-S variant takes a sportier approach with prominent Toyota lettering. The GR-S also distinguishes itself with blacked-out alloy wheels, GR-S sports branding with red accents on the front and side, and a silver skid plate, which is absent in the ZX trim.
The Land Cruiser 300 is offered in just two colour options: Precious White and Attitude Black, sticking to a monochromatic palette that exudes sophistication and dominance while steering clear of bright, vibrant shades.
The interior of the Land Cruiser 300 gets premium leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, and sophisticated trim finishes. The ZX variant offers Neutral Beige and Black interior options, while the GR-S grade comes with Black and Dark Red or GR-S Black upholstery. The rear seats provide ample legroom.
As for features it is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 14-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charger, a sunroof, four-zone climate control, rear-seat entertainment, head-up display, 8-way power-adjustable front seat with a memory function, power-adjustable steering with memory function and connected car tech.
It has got serious business to do when comes to offroading as it features multi-terrain select (MTS), multi-terrain monitor, adaptive variable suspension, crawl control, downhill assist control, and differential locks (front and rear in the GR-S variant).
Its safety suite consists of 10 airbags, front and rear disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and ADAS features.
Like the previous Land Cruiser 250, the Land Cruiser 300 continues to be powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, producing 309 PS and 700 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It features a 4-wheel drive option and some potent offroading capabilities.
The Land Cruiser 300 is priced in India at Rs 2.31 crore for the ZX and Rs 2.41 crore for the GR-S variant (both prices, ex-showroom). It competes with the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLS, Range Rover Range Rover and BMW X7.
The Land Cruiser 300’s return strengthens Toyota’s foothold in India’s premium SUV market. With increasing demand for high-end lifestyle SUVs, it provides a strong alternative to the Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz G-Class, appealing to business elites, off-road enthusiasts and luxury buyers. Interestingly, it is also the choice of the Special Protection Group (SPG), which is responsible to ferry the VVIPs of India, including the Prime Minister himself!
