The 2023 Tokyo Motor Show has kicked off with various manufacturers from both the two-wheeler and four-wheeler worlds showcasing their upcoming models and various other interesting concepts. In this report, we’ll be looking at Toyota, who revealed an all-electric concept of its popular SUV nameplate, a cool-looking steering wheel, and more. Let’s dive into the details.

Toyota has unveiled an all-electric concept for its Land Cruiser SUV, the Land Cruiser Se at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show. In terms of design, the Land Cruiser Se features a more rounded styling, unlike the typical macho and boxy styling found in other Land Cruisers. It will be one of the first Land Cruisers to be built on a monocoque platform rather than SUV's traditional body-on-frame chassis. To know more about it, you can head over here.

One of the interesting items that grabbed our eyes from Toyota’s list of exhibits at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show is its Neo Steer. It is a cool looking steering wheel found on one of the Land cruiser concepts equipped with toggle switches for acceleration and braking control, eliminating the need for conventional pedals. Another Toyota concept that made its public debut at the 2023 Japan Motor Show is the IMV 0 pickup concept. It can be customised in multiple ways to cater various requirements. Toyota teased 6 ways this concept can be customised, details of which can be found over here.

Lastly, Toyota also revealed a mid-size pickup truck concept with a monocoque body called the EPU concept. According to Toyota, the concept features a versatile deck space to meet various user needs, offering diverse mobility options. It is an EV concept with a low centre of gravity, which, Toyota claims, ensures excellent handling stability and ride comfort.
Toyota has also revealed various other concepts in addition to the ones mentioned above. These include the JUU, a stylish electric wheelchair, a three-wheeled Land Hopper concept, and a space mobility concept currently in its prototype stage.
