The upcoming streetfighter will get adjustable levers; other new details revealed

The TVS Apache RTR 310 is about to be launched on September 6. But before that, TVS has shared a couple of images of their Managing Director, Sudarshan Venu, testing it out. These teaser images are the clearest pictures of the bike we have seen so far.

As we concurred earlier, this bike is not a rebadged G 310 R, but a whole new design from TVS. We can see that it gets a slightly sporty riding stance based on the single-piece handlebar’s positioning and the slightly rear-set footpegs. Also, the sharp tank extensions are visible, despite being covered. The alloy wheel design (different from the Apache RR 310) looks really good and the sump guards have gotten aggressive styling. The levers are adjustable which should make it versatile for riders of different stature. The streetfighter gets a twin horn setup, and going by the tread pattern, the tyres seem to be Michelin Road 5 units, same as the ones in the RR 310. On the other hand, the LED indicator design looks similar to the ones in the TVS Ronin. Also, the rear-view mirror design looks different from its faired sibling. While the mirrors look sporty, we hope the sporty design has a functional element too.

In these pictures, we can also see that the upcoming streetfighter gets the same exhaust as that of the Apache RR 310, BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS. This was also seen before in an earlier round of spy shots.

In the last teaser shared by TVS, we got to know that the side profile, slanted headlight design and the overall compact and aggressive look of the bike have lots of resemblance to the Ducati Streetfighter V4. The bike will have a horizontal twin-LED headlight setup and tail lights designed in the shape of two vertical strips. From when it was spied for the first time, we got to know that the RTR 310 will get an upside-down (USD) fork and monoshock suspension setup and also get disc brakes at both ends, with dual-channel ABS expected to come as standard.

The TVS Apache RTR 310 will be powered by a 312.7cc, reverse-inclined, single-cylinder engine that is also seen on the Apache RR 310 but is expected to get a different set of engine tuning. Pre-bookings for the bike are now open at Rs 3,100 and it will likely be priced at Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Its rivals will be the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, BMW G 310 R, Keeway K300N and the Honda CB300R.
