TVS Apache RTR 310 Vibrations and Throttle Lag Issues Addressed By TVS highlights

TVS Motor Company launched its flagship streetfighter, the Apache RTR 310, in September 2023. While the overall package was promising, the company received complaints of vibrations creeping in the seat and handlebar as well as a laggy throttle response. To resolve these setbacks in the bike, TVS recently conducted a special service camp (Carecraft Camp) at their IQL Centre in Bangalore, Karnataka.

As per an attendee, the Carecraft Camp for the Apache RTR 310 was a positive experience, consisting of an informative briefing on the features and functions of the bike, an interactive session with the TVS management to share their personal experiences, a detailed explanation of updates done on the bike, and an introduction to TVS’ AOG (Apache Owners Group) and DIY (Do-It-Yourself) bike maintenance techniques.

So what exactly did this update package from TVS include to resolve the issues? Here's a list of them:

The rider’s seat cushion was changed–the new one has a better fit and a different hardness level

The foam placed under the fuel tank was replaced
Heavier handlebar dampers were installed to absorb vibrations more efficiently
The ECU (electronic control unit) got an update to reduce throttle lag and make the engine more refined
The quickshifter wiring was rerouted to increase play

The RTR 310 owner mentioned that the update made the bike feel alive and responsive, staying true to its streetfighter nametag. The bike reacted almost instantly to throttle inputs and most importantly, the vibrations were considerably reduced.

The actions taken by TVS are appreciated by the Apache RTR 310 owners, which shows that the company is looking to improve their bikes and provide a good after-sales service experience. We are quite eager to get our hands on the updated bike to test it out in the real world and see the difference.
