This Is Your Chance To Be Behind The Wheel Of A Land Rover Defender For A Luxury Vacation

• Defender Journeys will offer travel experiences in self-driven Defender SUVs.

Land Rover has teamed up with Cougar Motorsports to offer premium luxury travel packages in India. Called ‘Defender Journeys’, the trips will be week-long vacations in self-driven Land Rover Defender 110 SUVs, with luxury stays and lifestyle experiences. The trips will also include off-roading trails that the Defender is well-equipped to handle. 

What is Defender Journeys?

On each ‘journey’, Land Rover will deploy a band of five Defender 110 SUVs, each with a seating capacity of two to four people. You’ll need to be at least 19 years old and have a valid driver’s license for at least one full year before being allowed to take the wheel of the top-dollar SUV. 

The first trip, called Konkan Experience, will be held on January 16 to 22, 2023. It’ll be a road trip from Goa to Bengaluru, via the scenic towns of Gokarna and Coorg. Later on March 12, another Konkan Experience road trip will be held from Bengaluru to Goa. The full itinerary can be found here. 

Nilgiri Experience will be held from January 22 to 28. The first trip is from Bengaluru to Coimbatore; another trip from Coimbatore to Bengaluru will be held on March 5 to 11. This ‘journey’ includes the picturesque landscapes of Ooty and Wayanad and a ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train. Full itinerary here. 

Other upcoming trips include the Coromandel Experience, covering the Eastern Ghats, (Coimbatore to Chennai) and the Malabar Experience from Coimbatore to Kochi. 

There will be off-roading bits on each journey, but trained Land Rover instructors will be present to ensure the vacationers’ safety and comfort. Also, more such journeys will be planned by Land Rover as the year 2023 goes by.

The Defender Journeys offer a proper luxury holiday experience within India in some of the most picturesque landscapes that the country has to offer. Each of the journeys is priced at Rs 4.5 lakh for the full trip (excluding taxes) for two people.
