The VLF Mobster 135 is finally here in India, and comes at an introductory price of Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom). The introductory price is valid for the first 2,500 customers, after which the price will likely be increased by a few thousand rupees. Bookings for the scooter have also begun, starting at Rs 999. The brand has also revealed that the deliveries will begin from November 2025. Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything you need to know about them.

The Mobster features an aggressive and futuristic design, which really makes it stand out. The apron with integrated turn-indicators, and tall windscreen adds an aggressive demeanour, while the exposed handlebars also make it feel a bit rugged. VLF has done quite a good job with the Cyberpunk-esque design, and it looks like a dialled-down version of one of those Italjet scooters, don’t you think? It is offered in 4 colours: Crimson Override, Ghostlight, Ash Circuit, and Neon Venom.

VLF Mobster 135 Colours

The VLF Mobster 135 is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 12.1PS at 8,250rpm and 11.7Nm at 6,500rpm. This makes it more powerful than many 125cc bikes in India! 

The scooter is built on a high-tensile-steel frame, and is suspended on a telescopic fork and twin shock-absorbers. It gets 12-inch alloys with block pattern tyres. Braking setup consists of a 230mm front and 220mm rear petal disc setup, both of which are the largest in the 125cc scooter segment. The scooters also features switchable dual-channel ABS.

VLF Mobster 135 Power And Performance

With a seat height of 797mm, the VLF Mobster 135 is relatively accessible for most riders, although slightly taller than most scooters in the segment. The kerb weight of 122kg is slightly towards the heavier side, but still manageable. The Mobster 135 has a fuel-tank capacity of 8 litres, which is quite impressive and should help in offering longer range, especially factoring in the claimed 46kmpl mileage.

VLF Mobster 135 Console And Features

On the features front, it gets a 5-inch TFT console, with smartphone connectivity and related features. The console doesn’t offer turn-by-turn navigation, but expect call/SMS alerts to be present. The scooter also gets keyless ignition and a switchable traction control system (overkill for a 125cc scooter, if you ask us). 

The Mobster goes up against other performance-oriented 125cc scooters in the market such as the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid, the Hero Xoom 125 and the Aprilia SR 125. But compared to rivals, it is a lot more expensive since it’s a CKD (completely knocked down).

Sure, the VLF Mobster 135 has slightly better performance on offer, and also more features. But at a slightly lower price of Rs 1,18,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), one can get the top-end variant of the TVS Ntorq 150. It gets a TFT console and all the bells and whistles, not to mention a widespread dealer and service network. As they say - ‘There ain’t no replacement for displacement”, so the Ntorq 150 also offers better performance with a bump of 1.1PS and 2.5Nm.

VLF Mobster 125 Should You Buy?

Some of the reasons why one would want to buy the VLF Mobster are the design, features and most importantly, that sweet Italian character. That said, Motohaus, the parent company which is bringing VLF scooters to India, doesn’t have as many dealerships or a widespread service network yet, so we cannot really comment on the long-term ownership experience. Then again, if you’re someone who is looking for an Italian scooter which can offer good performance, then the Aprilia SR 175 is worth taking a look at.
