The 125cc sporty commuter segment has just gotten a new contender as Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar N125. 

What Is Its Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 has been launched at prices starting from Rs 94,707 (ex-showroom). It is available in two variants: LED Disc BT and LED Disc. The streetfighter gets six colour options: Cocktail Wine Red, Citrus Rush, Purple Fury, Pearl Metallic White, Ebony Black and Caribbean Blue. Here are the variant-wise prices:

The N125’s rivals are the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and the Honda SP125. 

What’s New?

Well, everything because this is an all-new bike. The styling of the bike is very different from other Pulsar bikes in Bajaj Auto’s lineup. It gets a very sharp design language and the headlight design especially stands out. The bike has a split-seat design and an underbelly exhaust.

- 124.59cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 12PS at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm

- 5-speed gearbox

- Telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup

- 240mm front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake

- Rear Tyre: LED Disc variant - 100/90-17, LED Disc BT variant - 110/80-17 

- Seat Height: 795mm

- Ground clearance: 198mm

- Wheelbase: 1,295mm

- Kerb weight: 125kg

- Fuel tank capacity: 9.5 litres

- LCD instrument console that has a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock and other regular readouts

-  LED Disc BT variant gets Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts along with the phone signal and battery status readouts

- LED headlight and tail light

The 125cc sporty commuter segment is very competitive with the likes of the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R being the dominant players. The Pulsar NS125 has been around for a long time now without any significant updates and feels outdated compared to the offerings from TVS and Hero MotoCorp. With the Pulsar N125, Bajaj Auto finally has a bike that can attract lots of potential customers from this hugely popular segment.
