MG has finally unveiled the much-awaited Majestor SUV for the Indian market today. While we had our first look at the SUV last year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, we now know what the Indian-spec is like, and a lot more details about its launch, styling and features. If you are curious about what the latest Fortuner-rival is like, here is a detailed look at the Majestor in 12 images:
The front fascia of the MG Majestor looks very rugged with a dominating stance. Taking the centre stage is a massive gloss-black grille, and it also features a vertically-stacked headlamp cluster with slim LED DRLs in the chrome-studded grille and on the bonnet edgesThe front bumper also houses a new skid plate finished in satin silver and thick cladding for added road presence.
At the side, the silhouette profile resembles that of a full-size, bulky SUV, and is identical to the Gloster, but is slightly larger. The SUV sits on new dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels and gets chunky body claddings all around, including the wheel arches as well. Notably, MG has given elements like the door handles, roof rails and ORVMs a black treatment for a sporty look,
Moving to the rear, the Majestor has a sleeker and more futuristic design, which creates an equally dominant appearance. The redesigned flat tailgate houses new connected LED taillights. What’s also new is the rear bumper with a chunky skid plate and twin exhaust pipes. It also sports massive ‘MAJESTOR’ badging on the tailgate, for even more attention.
The interior of the Majestor is a step in premiumness, it uses soft touch materials and features a dual-tone interior layout with a mix of black and grey colours that looks appealing. At the centre is a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, below which are the rectangular AC vents. The dashboard sees minimal use of touch-based controls, making way for a toggle-style control for operating the AC.
Moving further down, there are two circular knobs to select the drive modes and operate the four-wheel drive functions. It gets a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, which is carried over from the Gloster.
Both front seats are wide and offer a good amount of support and cushioning for occupants. It gets an 8-way powered passenger and a 12-way powered driver seat, with both getting ventilation and massage functions. Speaking of the upholstery, it gets a black theme, with grey accents for a sporty look.
The second row of seats can be configured as either with individual captain seats or as a bench, while the third row is quite spacious as well, but is best for short adults or children. Each row comes with AC vents, while the second row also features 220V charging sockets, an air purification system with a dedicated screen, and dials for dedicated temperature zone as well.

MG has equipped the Majestor with all the features that you would ever need, leaving no scope for complaints. What’s new here is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, along with many premium features, which include a digital instrument cluster, 64-colour ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, powered tailgate, air purifier, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL sound system and 3 drive modes.
In terms of safety, the MG Majestor sports a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold assist and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Powering the MG Majestor is a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, previously also seen in the Gloster. This engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and is also available with an optional four-wheel drive system as well

MG will launch the new Majestor in April this year, with deliveries slated to begin in May. Bookings for the SUV are already open for an amount of Rs 41,000. It will be available in a choice of two variants called Sharp and Savvy. It is expected to be priced from Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The MG Majestor takes on popular cars of the segment, like the Toyota Fortuner Legender. The upcoming Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is also a key contender in this segment. Other rivals include the Skoda Kodiaq and the Jeep Meridian.
With the new Majestor arriving in India, MG has shown a clear intention of capturing the premium SUV segment. And with the amount of space, equipment on offer, and the prices, things do look very promising for the brand. But all of this would attract buyers who are keen on the latest technology, while others might still choose the Fortuner for its strong image and reliability. That being said, if MG does establish itself in this segment, the Majestor could have a Majestic future.
