With a price premium of around Rs 25,000, Tata Motors has launched the Altroz facelift at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the pre-facelift model, the 2025 Altroz gets a refreshed design, an updated interior, and multiple new features. If you are planning to bring one home, choosing the right variant might seem a bit tricky. However, we have got you covered, as in this report, we break down what each variant of the Altroz facelift offers. We also highlight the key hits and misses of every trim.
The base Smart variant of the Altroz kicks things-off with:
Flush door handles
Halogen projector headlamps
LED tail lamps
16-inch steel wheels
Illuminated steering wheel
Semi-digital instrument cluster with 4-inch MID
Drive modes
Follow me home headlamps
All four power windows
6 airbags
Electronic stability program
ISOFIX child seat mounts
Reverse parking sensors
Notable additions in the base-spec Altroz include flush door handles, modern touches like an illuminated steering wheel, and enhanced safety with six airbags.
However, being the base variant, it misses out on an infotainment system and audio setup, which are offered in the next variant.
One above-base Pure variant gets these additions over the base variant:
LED headlight setup
7-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Automatic climate control system
Cruise control
Electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs)
4 speaker audio system
Height adjustable driver’s seat
Steering mounted controls
Reverse parking camera
Rear defogger
Auto headlamp and rain sensing wipers
Apart from a 7-inch infotainment system and a 4-speaker sound system, the one-above-base Pure variant also gets addition of a reverse parking camera. Additionally, it is also offered with a diesel engine option.
However, it misses out on 16-inch alloy wheels and rear AC vents.
Over the Pure variant, the Pure S only gets a sunroof, and a shark fin antenna. However, it misses out on the diesel engine option, which the Pure variant gets.
The Creative variant gets these additions over the Pure variant:
LED DRLs
10.25-inch infotainment system
Push button start/ stop
Rear AC vents
65W charging ports
Ambient lightning
One touch down driver side window
360-degree camera system
Rear wiper and washer
A larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, fast-charging 65W ports, and a 360-degree camera system are the notable additions in the Creative variant.
However, it misses out on a diesel engine option and a dual-clutch automatic gearbox with the turbo-petrol powertrain. For which you have to upgrade to the Creative S variant.
Feature additions of the Creative S over the Creative variant include only a sunroof. Additionally, it also gets paddle shifters with the turbocharged petrol dual-clutch transmission combo.
Over the Creative variant, Accomplished S variant gets:
LED taillight system
16-inch alloy wheels
LED fog lamps
Dual tone colour choices
ORVMs integrated with turn indicators
Rear seat armrest with cup holder
7-inch digital driver’s display
Wireless phone charging
8-speaker sound system
One touch auto up for driver window
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Apart from the 7-inch digital driver’s display, premium additions in the Accomplished S variant include an 8-speaker sound system and wireless phone charging. This variant also gets 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone colour options, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
However, features like connected car tech and the larger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display are still missing. For those, you will need to upgrade to the Accomplished + S variant.
The top-spec Accomplished + S variant gets these additions over Accomplished S variant:
10.25-inch digital driver’s display
Air purifier
Connected car tech
A larger digital driver’s display that also supports navigation is among the key highlights. The top-spec variant also includes connected car tech and an air purifier.
Misses
The Accomplished + S variant is available only with the turbo-petrol engine, paired only with the dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 2025 Altroz lineup offers a wide range of choices with three engine options and several feature additions. Some variants provide great value for money in terms of features but miss out on the engine option you might prefer. For instance, while the Creative S variant offers all engine choices, you could also consider sticking with the standard Creative variant if it suits your needs. The good thing is that the essentials can be found from the lower-sec variants itself and the top-spec features just add the feel good amenities. Other similar cars to check out? The Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
