Tata has unveiled the 2025 Altroz facelift ahead of its launch in the coming weeks. It is the first major update that the Altroz is set to get after its launch in 2020. The update features some exterior upgrades and interior enhancements that make the hatchback more premium.
In this report, we take you through the hatchback’s colour options, variants, features and expected pricing:
The Altroz facelift will be available in five colour options: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Royal Blue and Pristine White. Design upgrades include a new grille up front, newly designed LED headlights, new alloy wheels and redesigned tail lights connected by a light bar.
The hatchback will be offered in five different variants or as Tata calls them, Personas. These include: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ S. These trims will further be available with different powertrain and gearbox options.
Right from the base-spec variant onwards, the 2025 Altroz comes with the new styling elements that include flush door handles, illuminated steering wheel and LED tail lights. Safety features like 6 airbags and ESC are also offered from the entry-level variant.
Premium features include dual 10.25-inch displays - for the infotainment and driver display, cruise control, a single-pane sunroof, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, air purifier and ambient lighting. Ventilated front seats have still not been confirmed by Tata, however, they are available with the Altroz Racer.
The Altroz facelift is expected to come with the same powertrain options:
Engine |
1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine |
1.2-litre petrol+CNG |
1.5-litre diesel engine |
Power |
88 PS |
73.5 PS |
90 PS |
Torque |
115 Nm |
103 Nm |
200 Nm |
Transmission |
5 Speed MT / 6 Speed DCT |
5-speed MT |
5-speed MT |
Prices for the Altroz facelift are yet to be revealed. We expect it to be priced from Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom), a minor premium over the current-spec model, which is priced from Rs 6.65 lakh to Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It will give a tougher fight to the likes of the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza.
Tata clearly seems to have increased the premiumness quotient of the Altroz with the facelift. However, we hope that the Indian marque doesn’t significantly increase the pricing, so as to still keep the Altroz’ value-for-money quotient intact.
