The MG Comet EV is the latest electric vehicle to break cover in India. It is based on the Wuling Air EV that is sold in markets abroad and is expected to go on sale very soon. And while its technical details are under embargo, what we can talk about is its exterior so let’s see what colour options are offered with it.

That genuinely is the case with the customisation options available with the Comet EV. For starters, there are three monotone shades: Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Candy White. Then there are the two dual tone shades: Candy White and Apple Green with a Starry Black roof.

Then there are the stickers and customisable options for both the exterior and interior. We can’t go into details about the interior options yet, but the exterior gets the choice of a Youth, Night Cafe, Day Of Dead, Blossom, Floresta, and two Space sticker options.

If those aren’t enough, you get further personalisation options which offer various designer elements on the exterior, including Emoji-1, Floral, Doodle, Graffiti, and two Space choices (different from the sticker options mentioned above).

Still ain’t cutting it? There’s a further four graphic packs that you can drape the Comet EV in - Beach Bay, Serenity, Flex, and Sundowner pack.

All of these are of course available on the base shades of the Mini-EV. Further dope about its specifications will be jotted down by us on April 27, so keep an eye out for it. Until then, you can head over to our image gallery article, which includes everything we can tell you about it so far. But if you just can’t hold on until then, here’s an article that includes the leaked deets on the Comet EV, including its range, which might give you a bit of a context as to what to expect.

A price announcement should be done before the end of this month and they could start from around the Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will be a smaller alternative to the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
