Charging an EV can become a mountain of a task in certain conditions, but Audi is here to the rescue, at least for its own clients

  • Audi has introduced a Charge my Audi function on its app.

  • It offers a one-stop charging solution to all Audi e-tron owners.

  • Has a network of more than 750 charging stations all over India.

  • Functionality includes route planner, charger status, real-time charging status and more.

  • Is complimentary for all Audi e-tron owners until August 2023.

Owners of electric Audi e-tron vehicles, there’s good news for you. The German marque has just launched a new initiative - a ‘Charge my Audi’ section on the ‘myAudiConnect’ app, which only has one purpose: to make the life of an Audi e-tron owner easier. How does it do that? Let’s find out together:

Vast network

Audi customers can tap into the vast network of charging stations spread across the nation, thanks to an affiliation with five charging partners:  Aargo EV Smart, Charge Zone, Relux

Electric, LionCharge and Zeon Charging. This negates the need to download multiple apps that support only a single type of charger.

Vast functionality

The 750+ charging points available to Audi owners can be pulled up via the ‘Charge my Audi’ section, which helps spot the closest charger to you, and lays down the shortest route to help you reach there. It will also aid in planning the route effectively and plan charging stops in advance - helpful for keeping that range anxiety at bay, especially during those long roadtrips.

Moreover, the function also showcases which charging terminals are available at a particular station, as some of them might be in use. If unlucky, you can also come across a completely full station, which means you’ll either have to wait or push ahead to the next station, that is if you’ve got any charge left in the first place. But this function solves that problem.

The app will also feed the user with information on charging time and the state of charge at any particular time. It even offers a single payment gateway service to make the experience all the more convenient.

Audi e-tron customers can make use of this network for free of cost till August 2023. Post that, charges will be applicable. It’ll only be available for use to Audi e-tron customers. Currently, Audi’s electric portfolio in India comprises the e-tron SUV, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.
