Audi A6

The fifth generation of the A6 has finally made its way to India and it’s a stunning looking car in a very understated way. Audi has made some compromises when it comes to drivetrain options though that do raise questions about its competitiveness. 

Audi, though, is assembling the A6 in India and this has allowed them to price it quite competitively. The key question, though, is if Audi has done enough with the A6 to allow it to take the fight to rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3 Series?

Looks

The A6's design maintains its appeal with a sleek, low profile that beckons you to take it for a spin.

While not a groundbreaking redesign, the improved aesthetics feature sharp lines, attractive 18-inch alloys, and Matrix LED headlamps, providing a pleasant visual experience.

The attention to detail, especially in the Technology variant, adds a touch of sophistication, making it an overall attractive package.

Interiors

Inside the cabin, the A6 impresses with a modern and minimalistic design. The three screens surrounding the driver, including the virtual cockpit, offer a high-tech feel.

The chassis maintains a comfortable ride with controlled suspension, exhibiting agility around corners. However, the absence of quattro all-wheel drive and light steering in Sport mode may lead to understeer and torque steer during spirited driving.

In terms of safety, the A6 is well-equipped with eight airbags, disc brakes on all corners, and advanced safety features.

While the A6 presents a compelling option in terms of looks, technology, and pricing, it faces stiff competition in the executive luxury sedan segment.
