The Porsche Macan has gone full electric and the Macan EV has been launched in India at Rs 1.65 crore (ex-showroom). India only gets the performance-oriented Turbo variant for now, and the other lower-end variants are likely to be launched later down the line. Feature highlights include a triple-screen setup comprising a 12.6-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and another 10.9-inch display for the front passenger. Powertrain highlights include a 100 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 591 km.

Bookings are underway and deliveries will commence in the second half of 2024.

Features of Porsche Macan EV : The Porsche Macan EV features a 12.6-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and another 10.9-inch display for the front passenger. Other equipment includes automatic climate control, keyless entry, and safety features like cruise control, heads-up display, and ambient lighting. It gets multiple airbags and some autonomous features like lane change assist and park assist from the outgoing Macan.

Porsche Macan EV Engine : The Macan EV Turbo gets a 100kWh battery pack that sends charge to dual electric motors which have a combined output of 639 PS and a mind-boggling 1130 Nm. The setup has a WLTP-range of 591 km and can do 0 to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Top speed is limited to 260kmph. It is based on a 800-volt charging architecture, which allows for lightning charging speeds of 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 21 minutes using a 270kW DC fast charger.

Porsche Macan EV Rivals : The Porsche Macan EV has no direct rivals, but can be considered an performance alternative to larger electric SUVs such as the Audi Q8 e-tron and Mercedes EQE SUV.

Porsche Macan EV Variants : Porsche offers the Macan EV in a single Turbo variant as of now. Internationally, there is a lower-spec 4 variant available as well.
