i4 Key Highlights

Features: The multitude of features onboard the i4 include a 14.9-inch curved infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. It further packs cruise control, a 17-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, keyless start/stop button and voice control for various entertainment and vehicle settings. Safety features consist of six airbags, ABS with brake assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child mounts, and a bunch of stability control systems.

Motor: The i4 gets a rear-wheel drive powertrain which includes an electric motor on the rear axle with an output of 340PS and 430Nm, paired to a 83.9kWh battery pack. This setup has a maximum WLTP-claimed range of 590km and charging from 10 to 80 percent via a 205 kW DC charger takes 31 minutes. The more common 50kW DC charger takes about 1.3 hours for the same, while the 11kW home charger takes about 8.25hrs to top-up the battery from 0 to 100 percent. The sprint from 0 to 100 kmph comes up in 5.7 seconds.

Rivals: Even though they have different silhouettes, the i4’s pricing will put it in contention with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Kia EV6.

Range: i4 can go upto 590 km/charge after a full charge.

Charging Time: i4 battery takes 31 Min-DC-200kW (0-80%) to get charged.

Variants: The electric sedan is offered in a single trim: eDrive40. Internationally, there is a more powerful M50 variant with dual motors and all-wheel drive.

The performance is what impressed me the most. The instant torque is addictive — you tap the accelerator and it just pulls without any lag. In city traffic it feels effortless, and on highways it’s properly quick. I drove the eDrive40 variant, and the balance between performance and comfort was spot on. It’s fast, but still smooth enough for daily use....

Its a really comfortable and smooth car, plus its exterior design is so attractive that if you look at this1once you can't unlook it again. You can connect the car with your phone and operate as you please. The seating1quality is premium and there happens to have enough space for your your legs to rest.

Great Electric car with cost effective features

I was ashtonished by the BMW i4 at first because of it's elongated range of travel on a full charge. This car also offers a top speed of 190 kmph and the overall driving experience is very amazing.As per what i have noticed this car takes around 89 hours to charge to its fullest.

BMW i4 thrilling performance.

I'm pleased with my first electric car, the BMW i4. The athletic look and electrifying range are impressive. The car is quiet and pleasant to drive. The decor is modern and inviting. Comfortable chairs and an easy-to-use entertainment system. Advanced features like the large touchscreen and many driving modes also appeal to me. The regenerative braking technology is great too. However, charging takes a long time. The car takes a long time to charge. Pricing is also high. I think BMW should lower the price of its electric cars to make them more affordable. India needs better charging infrastructure. Finding a charging station may be difficult, especially on long trips. Despite these drawbacks, I love driving my BMW i4 every day. I'm proud to possess a great car. However, various improvements would improve it.
