Audi has announced a bunch of additional benefits for to-be customers of its upcoming e-tron EVs: e-tron 50, e-tron 55, and e-tron 55 Sportback.

These benefits include charging options for owners of Audi’s EVs as well as EVs from other brands. Audi is also focused on increasing infrastructure consisting of fast charging points, to be introduced in a phased manner. Here’s a list of what Audi will offer:
For customers who purchase any of Audi’s new EVs in 2021, Audi will provide a complimentary wall-box AC charger which can be installed in the location of the customer’s choosing. This will be provided in addition to the 11kW charger that comes with the EVs as standard.
Certain dealerships of the German carmaker will be equipped with 50kW fast chargers, the installation of which will be done in a phased manner.
Customers eligible for the early bird offer can use the chargers at the Audi dealerships for free, throughout 2021.
Audi will also provide its dealership charging facilities to other EV owners who wish to pay for the facility.
Customers can locate charging points using the Chargers Near Me section on the myAudi Connect app or the Audi India website. These facilities are available for other EV owners as well.

In what is a segment first, Audi has also fitted all three EVs with charging ports on both sides to eliminate the limitations of parking while charging. All three EVs support AC charging up to 11kW. The e-tron 50 also supports DC charging up to 120kW, whereas the e-tron 55 and e-tron 55 Sportback support DC charging up to 150kW.

Audi’s three EVs will launch on July 22. To know more about their powertrains, design, and most importantly, the range they offer, continue scrolling to the next article.
