Q. Which is better - Bajaj Avenger 220 or Bullet Classic 350?
  • This is a rare question. But I think easy to decide.Avenger is the most practical here. So if you are looking for practicality like cost , milage, performance ,maintenance, looks, comfort, avenger is the best. Both are retro designs and both are beautiful.Avenger's design is inspired by traditional American cruisers like Harley Davidson. Classic 350 is a true retro bike with traditional British or European roadster design. Good bike but not good in practicality. Costly spares, frequent repairs, vibrations in high speeds, The bigger engine just gives the extra initial torque but it's less apparent because of the extra weight. If you love the looks of classic, love it's heritage, and not a rough user, don't care much about costs , go for it.If you want comfort and performance, milage, lesser costs, go for Avenger.Design is American, but bajaj's quality is comparable to Japanese! Because They learnt basics from Kawasaki. It's perfect and problem free. Better than Harley in my view. Harley Davidson is disadvantageous because it has heating issues in city, smaller service network, more expensive in every way.
  • Bajaj Avenger 220 Street is definitely better if you have to drive and ride upon. Bullet 350 can be onlygood if you want to enjoy its engine sound only. However, if you are much fond of sound only, I would suggest you to keep a recording of that sound with you and go on enjoying it every time you feel.
  • Bullet is an all time FAVOURITE for me. If you are tall guy and don't mind handling the heavy weight of the Bullet in the city traffic then go for it.But take a test drive once before you buy bullet as I ended up buying the Avenger 220cc.

Q. Is it reliable? I'm confused between bullet RE and Avenger street 220.
  • Royal Enfield bikes are the most wannabe Harley bikes. The originality of bullets are outdated and very irritating exhaust sound. The bike is not good for a drag through traffic since it is quite heavy and controlling is a bit weird due to its weight. Avenger has the best ergonomics and design which can be flawlessly controlled and also the bikes performance is as good as a Pulsar 220. For a real cruiser bike feeling, the avenger is the choice over RE bikes anyday and it's price is way too high and it's resale value is useless. The more intelligent and cost saving Indian cruiser bike will be the avenger always
  • Bullet RE stands no where in front of Avenger 220. I have already mentioned that the best road grips and the safest rides are only possible on lower seat height vehicles. This is an Engineering and Mathematically provenfact.

  • If you think for touring purpose definitely Thunderbird 350 or you are daily commuter and covered more than 100km.Classic have their strong existence in market due to old school look. Truly appreciate the Royal Enfield to build classic but if you ride more than 100km on highway, you must have strong spinal system, as after riding you feel back pain due to double spring system on seat as well as bike. when you ride more than at the speed of 80km/hrs, seat continue vibrates and may impact your nervous system. Thunderbird 350 less appearance in the market but truly riding experience much higher than the other Royal Enfield bike. You can enjoy your weekend riding as well as daily commute with this beast, less vibration than classic 350, seating posture also very good that means you never tiered, if you ride more than 100km.Comparison to engine: both having same engine bit change in rpm settings for pickup.
  • RE Classic 350. In every terms,it feels much better. It feels royal and feels like yes you arent riding some day to day commuters. Thunderbird 350 is just a styled 350 and don't even have a after sale handsome evaluation. RE Classic though quite retro gets everything you want. And ofcourse, Modification can make it better than RE Thunderbird 350.
