Hero XPulse 200 4V : My Adventure Companion

After months of research and considering my love for off road adventures, I finally bought the Hero XPulse 200 4V. I have been riding it for almost a year now and it has been an exhilarating journey. Its high ground clearance and off road tires have confidently carried me through rough patches. However on the downside the seat can get a bit uncomfortable during long rides which can be a prickly issue for many Indian riders including me.Also in congested city traffic, it feels a bit bulky.

The Bike Is Balanced And Comfortable

Biking is all about the wind in the air, feel and comfort although my previous bike had a good feel, comfort was where it lacked the most refinement, suspension, and harshness from the engineering refinement - there are mild vibrations in the handlebar & on the foot pegs post 4500rpm but by that range, you would be somewhere near 80-85 on the speed smooth. Tuning of it is what makes it different from any other bike in the segment plush comfort - suspension is brilliantly tuned but I wish it had better seat, not just for the pillion even the rider's seat. It's a balanced bike I mean you could rest your legs on the perfectly placed footrest without having to hustle around in the traffic at lower speeds. By then you realize heat management is pretty good torque - coming from re. Low-end torque is not that great. Right gear at the right speed it feels responsive (2500rpm and above) highway cruising - well if you are a slow burner ( rider only because pillion seat is best to mount luggage) then cruising at 80-90kmph with Lil less than enough juice to overtake on the highway not exactly made for the highways --- where it does belong. Offroad - perfectly made for off-road enthusiasts or someone new to off-roading and trail riding most of all - the cost of service and repairs don't come at the cost of spoiling your experience of trail riding build - I see some rusting near chains and welding joints could have been better also the indicators aren't built strong. This bike is balanced, comfortable, well built, and affordable bike from Hero Motor Corp.

44kmpl mileage

4.6

I proudly an owner of xpulse 200.it's good commuter bike and best choice for Indian road🤣. I brought carb edition on aug 2019. Completed 2 service. I will tell you my 3 month experience about the bike. Pros, Gud design. Better handling. Most affordable budget 200cc bike in the market. Best off-road bike compare with Himalayan very lightweight so we can easily handle. Service cost is very cheap.Advanced digital meter.Low maintenance service cost around 400-500 each service.Build quality is very good.Have 5 year warranty so no worry about that.Gud cornering ability.Gud ground clearance.Suitable to short and tall peoples. No worry about potholes 🤟ConsHeating. headlight visibility is poor.Seat comfort is not up to mark.Abs is very sensitive so sometimes break will hard.In my viewpoint it's best for city ride, commuter usage and Off-roading compare with Himalayan . If you looking for touring Himalayan is best because it's seat comfort is far better than xpulse now hero introduce after market seat for touring. Got 44kmpl mileage. Now Xpulse awarded Indian motor cycle of the year 2020. I think my review is helpful for everyone. Thanks for everyone to read my review

Good service

3.4

Hero xpulse 200 bs6 no good service available in kerala.(wayanad, Kannur, Thrissur, Ernakulam) wayanad and kannur district first rally kit bike is mine, I am the person who paid full amount for engine work on the reson that even though it has been properly serviced it has notbeen added to the service computer in the service computer. When i went for third service i was told the battery power problem they said battery varenty life is up to one year it should be change in the next service they told battery is not available now. When i went for the next 3 services they said this is something you should not that the battery cannot be replaced under warranty due to extra kilometers.Took the bike to kannur service center 7 times from wayanad and repaired the bike.It happend because they didnt care. When i pay full amount and buy fresh bike their is no usefull tool kit inside. The helmet that i got when i bought the bike was a normal helmet.1.Good condition for off road ride, But seat is not comfort for long distence travel.Mailege is good and the performance also good.Meter display after evary 500 km ride damage.

Important factor

4.2

Received xpulse 200 bs6 version, As a gift from my wife.Probably the expensive gift i got in my life till date.I have been using the bike since past four to five months now.The experience has been amazing.I owned royal enfield classic 350 earlier, Believe me xpulse 200 is no less than classic 350 in terms of joy you get while riding. In face ride is more comfortable than classic.Mileage is a big factor in hero bikes and i have been receiving 50 km/l on an average and i am honest on that.Important factor of xpulse is its suspension system, With which you can ride in almost all kinds of roads.I think this bike best suits indian roads.Few cons that i could mention is seat is bit on harder side and is too short for pillion rides, So you may feel uncomfortable during long rides.Little raise in handle bar would have added more joy to the ride.Hero should have considered providing center stand.Nevertheless, This bike is worth every penny.

Long rides

3.8

Pros: Good mileage, low maintenance cost, good for roads. The shocker absorber is doing a fantastic way of working tyres give you more confidence, when on gravel or off roads. Cons: A headlight is not good at night when a vehicle comes opposite. The rider seat is not wide so you will get pain on long rides. The pillion seat is very poor on this one mirror of this bike is the worst mirror that is made on nowadays handle is wide but not in a height position. So it will be difficult when on standing while riding through off roads brakes are not good. There is no initial bite. Also, there are no dual channel abs. The kick start of the vehicle is not working especially on cold start or morning for cost-cutting. The indicators are normal bulbs, not led. The sound is not aggressive. It's just a sleepy sound.

I'm using a xpulse 200 2v

3.4

I'm using a xpulse 200 2v edition. It's really good according to the price, No one offers this good features at this price range. But still i find some problems with this bike. It's a deal breaking thing for some riders and not for others.Seat is not at all comfortable for loong drives. After 50-60 kms backs start to hurt.A gel seat might solve this issue.Secondly the headlight is not that good.I'm not saying it's very bad but this slightly on the badder side.If you can tolerate this problems. This is a perfect bike for you.About the milage.I'm getting like 40 on city, Idk about highways i didn't travel highways on this bike yet.About service. The service cost is very low on this bike. And very easy to maintain.Hope this reivew would be helpful for you.

Labour charge

4.2

I bought it in madurai as l liked its stylish look. While waiting for rc card rode to munnar in kerala. It did not fail me at steep hair pin bends.Seat was uncomfortable and had it replaced.Proceeded to solan valley via chennai, Hyderabad, Agra, Delhi and mandi.Tyre is not good for loose gravel incomplete roads.Travelled a total of 17000km in 2 months and the engine did not die on me.Had to pay for labour charge in the north for service even though under warranty. When chain got loose only sprayed instead of tightening.

Great Mileage

I recently bought the bike and honestly love its ride quality in cities little heat can feel sometimes great handling, the weight ratio is decent, and the suspension is great for Indian city ride conditions! highway; till now clocked 80-85kmph and no vibe at all, engine take it smoothly, handling is good, sometimes due to bigger tyre confidence is low, but overall decent ride off-road: a king in segment talk about seats, and you need to take frequent breaks after that. The pillion seat is not comfortable at all. Done some 50-70kms with a pillion (we change the seat) and it's quite an uncomfortable hero has cheap spare parts which are good mileage: it has been 20 days and getting 27-30 km/ ltr, Hope that improves after the first service you love adventure and want fun and any to go bike, Then definitely buy it.
