The Yamaha EC-06 may not shout for attention with wild specs or gimmicky tech, but that’s kind of the point. Yamaha’s first serious step into the electric scooter space in India, with the EC-06, is all about clean design and everyday usability. And when you look closely, there are a few standout elements that define what the EC-06 is really about. Here are the top standout features of the Yamaha EC-06:
Minimalist Yet Premium Design
The EC-06 follows a neo-minimalist design philosophy, with clean body panels, sharp proportions and zero visual clutter. There’s no attempt to look aggressive or futuristic for the sake of it. Instead, the scooter carries a mature, premium vibe that feels more European than experimental.

Colour LCD Instrument Console
Yamaha has equipped the EC-06 with a colour LCD instrument console that’s crisp, modern and easy to read. It shows all the essential information—speed, battery status, range and ride data, without overwhelming the rider.

Practical Underseat Storage (With a Trade-Off)
The EC-06 offers a 24.5-litre underseat storage compartment, which should be enough for daily essentials like a backpack or a small grocery run. However, Yamaha has clearly prioritised design over outright practicality. It’s not the most spacious boot in the segment, considering it is based on the River Indie, which gets a massive 43-litre unit.

Full-LED Lighting Setup
Lighting is another strong point. The EC-06 gets full-LED lighting, including the headlight, taillight and indicators. The LED setup adds to the scooter’s premium appeal and modern character—something buyers in this segment expect as standard.
