Total Lubricants, well known for its performance oils used in various international motorsport events, has launched a new range of engine oils for two-wheelers in India. The Hi-Perf range comprises of fully-synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral-based engine oils to cater to a wider range of scooters and high-performance motorcycles.
The company, which has been present in India since 1993, says its latest addition promises better anti-rust, anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties and works well even with unleaded petroleum. The Hi-Perf oil also promises to offer optimum performance in hard riding cycles which involve sudden braking, hard acceleration, frequent gear changes and temperature variations while reducing the amount of carbon deposits in the valves and exhaust. This leads to minimal drop in performance and lower emissions. The Hi-Perf range of engine oils are priced from Rs 250 to Rs 750 per litre.

Speaking at the launch, Karoly Repas, Senior Vice-President for Sales and Marketing and Technical of Total Oil India Pvt Ltd’s lubricant division, said, “Prevailing traffic and road conditions means riders have no control over sudden and unavoidable jerks and brakes that a bike goes through, which in turn, compromises the bike’s engine quality and life. Total Hi-Perf, our newest range of high performing motorcycle engine oil, is fully equipped to meet these everyday challenges and provide a joyful riding experience by shielding the bike’s engine from daily wear and tear thereby increasing engine life, amplifying fuel efficiency and keeping the engine clean.”
The new range of lubricants will be available in most oil and lubricant dealerships across the country. Total Lubricants have a blending facility in Mahape, New Bombay and a pan-India network of over 31 oil depots, 297 distributors and over 40,000 dealers.
