Yamaha FZ Blue Flex

Price: Yamaha has launched the FZ Blue Flex at Rs 1,24,240 (ex-showroom).

Design: The FZ Blue Flex looks exactly like the Yamaha FZ Rave. It gets a muscular tank, a single-piece seat, and an all-black paint scheme with black alloy wheels. It also gets FZ Blue Flex stickers along with a silver finish on the engine head to differentiate it from the standard FZ Rave. It is available in a single Black Metallic colour option.

Features: The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex gets a negative LCD console, which houses the speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, and fuel gauge. It is also equipped with all LED lighting. The bike also gets single-channel ABS for additional safety.

Engine: Powering this motorcycle is an E85-compatible 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine making 11.7PS and 12.8Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It makes 0.7PS and 0.5Nm less than the FZ Rave on which it is based.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The FZ Blue Flex gets a telescopic fork and a monoshock. It rides on 17-inch wheels and gets a 282mm disc brake at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear. The bike gets a seat height of 790mm, ground clearance of 165mm, and a kerb weight of 139kg, which is 3kg more than the FZ Rave. The fuel tank capacity is also lower at 12 liters compared to the 13-litre tank on the FZ Rave.

Rivals: The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex currently has no direct rivals as it is the first E85 fuel-compatible bike in its segment. However, in terms of price, it rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Hero Xtreme 160R 2V, and the Honda SP160.
