The Skoda Kushaq has been a strong player in the compact SUV space since its launch in 2021. Now, it looks like Skoda is preparing subtle yet important changes to keep it competitive in the crowded compact SUV segment. The camouflaged test mule hints at some design tweaks and although we couldn’t get a glimpse into its interior, its design is expected to be overhauled alongside the introduction of certain modern-day features. Here’s all that you can expect from the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift.
From the spy shots, the Kushaq facelift is seen with partial camouflage covering the front and rear, suggesting changes to the bumper, grille, and headlamp design.

It is expected to carry new LED headlights, dynamic swipe LED indicators, as well as LED taillights, unlike the halogen units offered with the current Kushaq.

You can expect a sharper fascia in line with Skoda’s latest styling cues as seen in the Kylaq lately, while the overall silhouette remains largely unchanged.

The rear could get a revised bumper and taillights.
While the cabin isn’t visible in these spyshots, we can expect Skoda to thoroughly redesign the interior and add more features to keep up with rivals. Skoda might equip it with a larger infotainment display, an updated digital driver’s display, and possibly ADAS features to stay in line with rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Also expect to see ventilated seats and a new panoramic sunroof, unlike the single-pane unit currently available.
The facelifted Kushaq is likely to continue with the same engines: a 1-litre TSI turbo-petrol making 115 PS and 178 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic, and a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol producing 150 PS and 250 Nm, offered with a 7-speed DCT. While there’s no diesel on offer, these turbo-petrol units are already appreciated for their strong performance.

The Kushaq facelift is likely to see a mild price hike over the current model, which is priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 19.09 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Honda Elevate and Volkswagen Taigun.
The Kushaq is getting is first-ever facelift and hence the updated model will get a radical makeover, as well as sensible updates to stay fresh against its rivals. It will make its way to the market by somewhere around early 2026. The new wheels, tweaked lights, and expected feature upgrades should make it feel more upmarket, while the punchy turbo-petrol engines will continue to keep driving enthusiasts happy.
