Royal Enfield, one of the most prominent motorcycle brands in the country, has shown steady growth over the years. Now, we have learned that the Chennai-based motorcycle maker has recorded 22 per cent growth in the month of November 2017 compared to the same period last year. The growth witnessed internationally by the bike manufacturer is far more than its domestic growth.
This November, the company sold 67,776 units domestically, while it sold 55,843 units last year, displaying 21 per cent progress within the country. Meanwhile, it did better internationally, with 1,470 units sold last year and 2,350 sold this year, displaying 60 per cent growth. In totality, the company sold 70,126 units in November 2017 compared to 57,313 units sold in November 2016, thereby progressing by 22 per cent. Overall, on an average too, it showed a growth of 22 per cent from 2017-2018 compared to 2016-2017, with 5,26,481 units sold overall this year compared to 4,30,864 sold last year.

However, on a yearly average scale, international RE sales haven’t done as well as the November figures, with only 30 per cent of growth so far. While 9,492 units were sold internationally from 2016-2017, 12,387 units were sold from 2017-2018. The figures however will increase before the year comes to an end.
We expect these growth figures to continue with the Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650 all set to be launched next year.
