Nissan gave the Magnite an essential facelift recently, focusing on styling updates to its exterior and interior. The changes are minor, and Nissan has managed to maintain its competitive pricing, which starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom).
With as many as six variants on offer, this report focuses on the one-above base Visia + variant of the SUV, which is positioned for people on a tight budget. Keen to know what it brings to the table? Here's a brief overview about the Magnite Visia + variant in 8 images.
Nissan Magnite Visia + Variant Price
Priced at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Visia+ variant is offered with a single powertrain choice, paired only to a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, if you are interested in this variant, you might want to hurry, as these are introductory prices valid only for the first 10,000 customers.
Nissan Magnite Visia + Variant Design
The Visia+ variant shares most of its design with the entry-level Visia variant. It gets halogen headlights and lacks LED DRLs and fog lights. The front is dominated by a redesigned honeycomb grille, complemented by large chrome inserts that give the Magnite a bolder look, especially in the Onyx Black paint shade.

It rides on 16-inch steel wheels and features chrome door handles and a silver windowline that overall add a premium touch in the profile. However, the Visia + variant misses out on ORVM-integrated LED turn indicators and the silver-finished body side cladding found in higher-specced variants.

At the rear, notable additions over the base variant include a rear wiper with defogger and a shark fin antenna. The rear-end is further highlighted by subtly redesigned tail lamps (non LED) and a roof-mounted spoiler, elevating the Magnite's overall appearance.
Nissan Magnite Visia + Variant Interior
Inside, a welcome addition is the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with all the connectivity options and a proper audio setup. The cabin retains its all-black theme, accented by silver inserts on the steering wheel and centre console. The Visia+ variant also features light-grey elements on the door pads and comes with fabric seat upholstery, while offering plenty of storage space in both the first and second rows of the Magnite.

Nissan Magnite Visia + Variant Features
As for the features, the Visia + variant gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 3.5-inch multi-info display with analogue dials, a 4-speaker sound system, 60:40 split function for rear seats, tilt adjustable steering wheel, and a 12 V power socket for front-row passengers. It misses out on auto AC, remote keyless entry with push button start/stop, electric ORVMs, and steering mounted controls – all of which are offered in the next Acenta variant.

Safety is taken care of with 6 airbags (offered as standard), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, and a reverse parking camera with sensors.

Nissan Magnite Visia + Variant Engine Specs
As mentioned earlier, the Visia + variant is offered only with 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that puts out 72 PS and 96 Nm. Transmission option for Visia + variant is limited to 5-speed manual gearbox, however the base Visia variant is also available with 5-speed automatic transmission choice mated to the same 1-litre NA petrol engine.

Nissan also offers 100 PS/160 Nm 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired to 5-speed MT and CVT, in higher-specced variants.
The 2024 Magnite facelift continues to rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
