Ather is looking at setting up a total of at least 30 charging grids by 2022

With the growing demand for EVs, the infrastructure is gradually evolving with more charging points being set up across different cities in India. Now, Ather Energy has set up 10 new grids across Mumbai and aims to add 20 more by next year.

Here are the locations of the 10 Ather grids in Mumbai:

Runwal Anthurium, Mulund West

Kala Ghoda Cafe, Fort

Suba International, Andheri East

Ather Space Mumbai, Linking Road

Club Aquaria, Borivali

K Star Mall, Chembur

Celestia Spaces, Sewri

Lodha Florenza, Goregaon

Blue Tokai, Mahalaxmi

Carnival Cinemas Imax , Wadala

Overall, Ather has increased the number of public fast-charging stations from 79 to 129. These points are spread across 18 cities in the country and can be located via the Ather Grid app. The grids are not only available to Ather 450X riders but also other electric vehicle users, that too for free until September 2021.

Currently, Ather is working in conjunction with Park Plus to set up more EV locations in Mumbai. Park Plus allows EV users to locate parking, book slots, and even pay digitally. To curb range anxiety, Ather Energy is also working with Co-operative Housing Societies & Owners’ Associations to help e-scooter owners set up charging points in their buildings.

Ather Energy is currently present in 10 cities with 15 more in the pipeline. As a part of its expansion plan, Ather aims to set up at least 5-6 charging grids in each city before commencing deliveries.

Last but not least, in a recent tweet, Ather Energy’s CEO Tarun Mehta, mentioned the brand has recorded positive sales numbers with a 250 percent growth.
