The Aprilia SR 150 is the most affordable offering from the Italian two-wheeler giant in India. In fact, it also holds the distinction of being the most powerful scooter to be built in India. Given its competitive pricing and the performance it has on offer, it has garnered good sales in our two-wheeler market. The scooter was only available in two colour options, but that is about to change, as we have spotted the SR 150 in four new attractive colours.

Currently, the scooter is available in two plain and flat colours: the Matte Black and the Glossy White with a few red graphics and a dual-tone seat. Besides this, there’s also the Race edition that comes in Maze Grey colour with Aprilia’s iconic race livery. The new metallic colours are Metallic Green, Metallic Silver, Metallic Light Blue and Metallic Dark Blue, along with standard graphics.

The change is limited to the colours only. The sporty looking Italian scooter continues to be powered by a 154.8cc engine that churns out 10.5PS of power @6750rpm and 11.4Nm of torque @5000rpm. For suspension duties, it gets hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the back. For braking, it employs a 220mm disc with twin-piston caliper at the front and a 140mm drum brake at the back. It’s also the only scooter to come with 14-inch wheels on both ends which endows it with good handling dynamics.
Since the mechanicals are the same, one doesn’t have to worry about the premium in pricing. It might be continued to be sold for Rs 69,600 (ex-showroom Delhi). Stay tuned to ZigWheels as we bring you the latest updates on the same.
