New KTM RCs Officially Teased!

While the 2021 RC lineup was leaked earlier, this is the first official teaser by KTM

  • KTM has finally teased the new RC lineup on social media.

  • This will be the biggest update for the RCs since their launch in 2014.

  • For 2021, the bikes will get a new instrument cluster and an all-new design language.

Just a few days back, official images of the 2021 KTM RCs were leaked online. But the Austrian bike maker maintained radio silence on this…until now, that is. Yes, the company has finally teased a short video on social media with the words “Coming Soon” at the end, hinting at an imminent launch.  

The video is set up on a track and showcases a bike with orange and white bodywork. Judging from the recently leaked pictures, we believe the motorcycle in the video is either the upcoming RC 200 or the RC 125.

Other design elements visible in the video include the new alloy wheels, a bigger and coloured instrument cluster, an updated tail section, and new split seats. Along with this, the new RCs will also feature an all-new design with a bigger visor, new fairings, and a sleeker tail section.

The smaller RCs will probably get an LCD unit and a halogen headlamp, while the 2021 RC 390 will feature a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity (like the BS6 390 Duke) and all-LED illumination. Now that KTM has officially teased the new RCs, we expect them to be unveiled globally in the first week of September, followed by their India launch. Considering the changes, the new models could come at a premium of about Rs 7,000 - Rs 8,000. For reference, the BS6 RC 390, RC 200, and RC 125 retail at Rs 2.77 lakh, Rs 2.08 lakh, and Rs 1.80 lakh, in that order. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
