The end of February sees the Tata Nexon sub-4 metre SUV celebrate a monumental milestone of three lakh units being rolled out of its Ranjangaon facility near Pune, Maharashtra. In celebration of that, Tata has added more options to the Nexon yet again, introducing the XZ+ (HS) And XZ+ (P) variants at prices starting from Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The XZ+ (HS) slots right between the XZ+ (S) and the XZ+ (O), while the XZ+ (P) is just a step below the Kaziranga Editions and can be speeced with a dual-tone option as well. The XZ+ (HS) MT and AMT variants are priced at Rs 7,000 more than the XZ+ (S), with the XZ+ (P) being priced at a premium of Rs 50,000 and Rs 49,000, over the XZ+ (O) variants. A new ‘Royal Blue’ paint option has also been added. It will also be available in the ‘Dark’ Edition trims, but prices are yet to surface.
So what’s special about the XZ+ (HS) And XZ+ (P)? The former adds on an air purifier to the Nexon, while the latter additionally gets Benecke Kaliko leatherette ventilated front seats, and auto dimming IRVM. The rest of the bells and whistles will include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an electric sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, and a rear parking camera.
The Nexon can be specced with either a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 110PS 1.5-litre diesel unit. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, with an AMT transmission as optional.
The Nexon continues to retail from Rs 7.40 lakh to Rs 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s rivals include the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Mahindra XUV300.
