Honda has updated its 125cc two-wheeler lineup in India with the launch of two new special-edition models—the Dio 125 X-Edition and the Shine 125 Limited Edition. Neither receives mechanical changes, but both get visual upgrades aimed at buyers who want something a little more distinctive without moving to a higher segment.
The Honda Dio 125 X-Edition is based on the top-spec H-Smart variant and has more aggressive aesthetics . It is priced at Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and sits right in between the STD variant (priced at Rs 86,733 ex-showroom, Delhi) and the top-spec H-Smart variant (priced at Rs 91,683 ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter features a new dual-tone dark blue and silver paint scheme, with the silver shade covering the apron sides and the darker blue finishing the centre panel. Fresh silver and orange graphics further enhance the sporty look.

The most noticeable change is the orange-painted alloy wheels, which give the scooter a striking appearance and add a touch of flair reminiscent of earlier special editions (Repsol Edition, anyone?). Apart from the cosmetic updates, the scooter remains mechanically unchanged and gets the same set of features as the STD variant.
Honda has also launched a Limited Edition Shine 125 at Rs 86,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This version is based on the top-spec disc brake variant and focuses on subtle cosmetic enhancements.
The standout update is the new Pearl Siren Blue colour, complemented by revised ‘Shine’ tank graphics that look more premium than before. Honda has also added chrome elements to the windscreen, side panels, and exhaust cover. Completing the look are Pyrite Brown alloy wheels, which contrast well with the body colour. Mechanically, the Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition remains unchanged, and it too carries the same set of features as the variant on which it is based.

Honda’s latest special editions focus purely on visual appeal, adding freshness to two proven 125cc offerings without altering their reliable mechanical packages. If you want a sportier-looking scooter or a more premium commuter without paying big bucks, both these editions make sense.
