Also, the Invicto will be offered only as a seven seater, while the Innova Hycross gets an 8-seater option

  • Maruti Suzuki Invicto bookings open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
  • It will be offered in a fully loaded Alpha+ hybrid variant only.
  • The 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Hycross won’t be offered here.
  • Features include ADAS, dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
  • Expected to be priced in the same ballpark as Hycross’s top-end variant that costs Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for its next big launch, the Invicto MPV. Interested customers can put their money down for the MPV for a token amount of Rs 25,000. And if you had your eyes on the upcoming MPV, we have an interesting fact for you. The Invicto will only be offered in a fully loaded Alpha+ hybrid variant with seven seats (captain seat variant). There won’t be an entry-level naturally aspirated petrol variant on offer.

In one way, it’s good news as the Invicto will be sold as a fully loaded offering. So you’ll get all the bells and whistles that include a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and semi-powered captain seats with ottomans. And on the safety front, you will get six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera and ADAS features.

On the other hand, there is a lack of choice as there is no lesser-priced variant with all the features you might not require. For context, the Toyota Innova Hycross, which the Invicto is based on, is available in multiple variants with both strong-hybrid and naturally aspirated petrol engine options. Plus, the Invicto will come as a seven seater only, while the Hycross gets an 8-seater option as well.

Powering the Invicto will be Toyota’s 186PS 2-litre strong-hybrid powertrain that drives the front wheels via an e-CVT. To know our drive impressions of this particular powertrain, head to our in-depth first drive review of the Hycross. The Toyota MPV also gets an entry-level 176PS 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

To see all the design changes the Invicto will get over the Hycross, you can check out the leaked images here. Since the Invicto will come in a fully loaded trim, you can expect it to be priced around the same ballpark as the Innova Hycross’s top-end variant that is priced at Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

It will be a premium alternative to models such as the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and Toyota Innova Crysta
