- Gets completely redesigned styling making it look more premium
- Likely to be launched in the coming weeks
It looks like Hero MotoCorp is updating the Hero Destini 125, as images of the redesigned scooter have been leaked online. The scooter has received a complete makeover and the overall design looks boxier yet sleeker than the current model. The headlight cowl has been redesigned and the chrome elements around the headlight are now gone. The big, triangular indicators have been replaced by sleeker ones, along with a distinct H-shaped element on the apron. The apron is also reworked with sharper design lines, and the large chunky chrome garnish has been removed in favour of a more subtle look.

The swooping lines of the side panel have been replaced by a boxy design and the alloy wheel design looks similar to that of the Xoom 110. Along with the black and brown colour scheme seen in the pictures, the design changes, along with the copper highlights have given a fresh and premium look to the 125cc scooter.
The Hero Destini 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine producing 9PS and 10.4Nm, which is likely to be retained in the newer version as well. The suspension setup consisting of a telescopic fork and a single shock absorber, have also been carried over. That said, the updated model gets a front disc brake, which is a first for the Destini 125. At the rear, it should get the same 130mm drum brake seen in the current model. In terms of features, the scooter is likely to get the same semi-digital instrument console seen in the current Xtec model, which consists of an analogue speedometer and a digital inset showing fuel gauge, trip meter, odometer and service indicator readings along with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts.
The 2024 Hero Destini 125 is expected to get a premium of about Rs 5,000 over the current top-end model’s Rs 86,538 (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag. It is expected to be launched in the coming weeks and will likely be Hero’s flagship 125cc scooter until the Hero Xoom 125R is launched, which is likely to happen by the end of 2024. The scooter will rival the likes of the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
