- The upcoming model is completely redesigned and looks boxier than the current model
- It is expected to be about Rs 5,000 more expensive than the current model
The 2025 Hero Destini 125 has been teased again on Hero MotoCorp’s social media handle. The next-gen model is about to be launched between September 6-7, 2024.
The teaser video has given us the clearest look at the upcoming scooter’s design yet. The design has been completely revised compared to the current model and the scooter has gotten boxier as well. The redesigned headlight cowl doesn’t get as many chrome elements around it anymore. Instead of the big, triangular turn indicators on the front apron, the Destini 125 now gets sleeker looking units with the rest of the front apron designed to have a distinct H-shaped pattern around the indicators. The overall design has more sharper lines as well.
The alloy wheel design is similar to that of the Hero Xoom 110. The 2024 model gets a redesigned shorter and stubbier exhaust along with a chunky grab rail and a pillion backrest. Both the headlight and tail light are LED units.

The 2024 Hero Destini 125 is expected to be powered by the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 9PS and 10.4Nm The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The upcoming model gets a front disc brake and is likely to get a drum brake at the rear. As for features, it is expected to get the same semi-digital instrument console seen on the current Xtec model. The console has an analogue speedometer and a digital inset that shows fuel gauge, trip meter, odometer and other regular readouts and also gets Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts. The scooter shown in the teaser video is the Xtec variant of the upcoming model, based on the graphics seen on the side panel.
The current Hero Destini 125 is priced at Rs 86,538 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the 2024 model is expected to get a premium of about Rs 5,000 over that. It will rival the likes of the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
