The new patent image of the 2024 Hero Destini 125 reveals a new external fuel filler cap, a cubby hole, a chunky grab rail and a pillion backrest for more convenience and comfort. The tail light also gets a refreshed design and is likely to be LED. The 125cc scooter also gets a new exhaust which is shorter and stubbier.
A coloured image of the Destini 125 was also leaked earlier, which revealed the scooter in a new ‘Pearl Black’ colour scheme that featured a dual-tone glossy black and dark brown paint scheme with copper accents. The single-piece seat is also finished in a dual-tone shade. It featured a triangular headlight and apron-mounted indicators. There are copper headlights around the front apron.

In terms of hardware, the 125cc scooter is equipped with a telescopic fork and has a side-mounted monoshock at the rear. The upcoming Destini 125 seems to be fitted with 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends, which look similar to the Hero Xoom 110. The 125cc scooter also has a front disc brake for the first time, whereas the rear is likely to have a 130mm drum brake.
Apart from these visual updates, the scooter will most likely be powered by the same 124.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering 9.12PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm, paired with a CVT (continuously variable transmission).
The upcoming 2024 Destini 125 is expected to launch in the next few weeks. The updated version is likely to be around Rs 5,000 more than the current Destini 125 Xtec variant which is priced at Rs 86,538 (ex-showroom New Delhi). Once launched, it will compete against other 125cc scooters like the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Fascino 125.
