Tata Motors has just launched the Punch EV, which gets plentiful new features and revised exterior styling. Well, Tata has said that the ICE-powered Punch will be facelifted only in the second half of 2025.

In an interview, Shailesh Chandra, managing director (MD), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, said that the ICE Punch facelift will be introduced in mid-2025 or later. It will have a different set of features and styling touches to differentiate from its EV counterpart.

This could mean that the Punch facelift could have certain styling differences to set it apart from the newly introduced EV model. To set context, the Nexon and Nexon EV also get minor styling and feature differences to set themselves apart. A small example is the infotainment system, where the ICE Nexon gets a 10.25-inch unit, while the EV gets a larger 12.3-inch unit. Similar differences could be made to the Punch and Punch EV.

That said, no changes will be made to its engine, which is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol mill teamed with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. It also gets a factory-fitted CNG kit which comes with the carmaker’s unique twin-cylinder layout. To know the specifications of the Punch EV, check out our in-depth unveiling story
