Ola Electric Bike Teased For The First Time

• Bhavish Aggarwal put out a teaser, giving us a first glimpse of the Ola electric bike
• Judging by the teaser, we think it could be Ola’s entry level roadster
• This has created hype around Ola Electric’s IPO as well

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has dropped a teaser showing the upcoming Ola electric bike. This is the first proper teaser that gives us a glimpse of the upcoming electric bike. The teaser was likely dropped to build hype around the upcoming Ola IPO, set to take place on August 2nd, 2024.

Judging by the teaser, we have got a decent idea of what to expect from the upcoming Ola electric bike.

Now, the teaser is quite short but has revealed a few key details. First of which is the relatively relaxed and upright riding posture, second is the front tyre which looks quite narrow, both suggesting that the bike is likely to be the brand’s entry level offering, which could be the Ola Roadster.

Earlier Bhavish Aggarwal had dropped a teaser showcasing the battery pack that will be used on this bike. Additionally, the teaser also revealed quite a bit about the bike including its frame and transmission. We now know that the upcoming bike will be built on a diamond type split double cradle unit, with a chain drive transmission.

Currently, Ola Electric is working on 3 different e-bikes and the design patents of all were recently revealed. The Roadster will be the first of the three, with an unveiling likely to take place on August 15th this year. The bikes are expected to be launched by mid-2025. 

We expect the Roadster to come at a price tag that is around the Rs 1.4 lakh mark ex-showroom. After its launch, it will go up against other commuter e-bikes like the Revolt RV400.
