New Hyundai Creta Crosses 51,000 Bookings In Under A Month, Kia highlights

The Hyundai-Kia duo have been dominant in the compact SUV space for years and continue to do so with the recently facelifted versions. The Korean duo recently updated both their compact SUV offerings in India: the Hyundai Creta last month and the Kia Seltos in July 2023. Now both these cars have crossed noteworthy milestone figures in terms of bookings, signifying their popularity of the cars in the market.

Barely a month since its launch, the Hyundai Creta has already received 51,000 bookings. The main changes to the Creta include a new fascia, updated rear section, new alloys as well as major improvements on the inside. Key changes for the cabin include a new dashboard with dual-integrated screens, a two-tone interior theme and features such as a 360-degree camera, Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS), and panoramic sunroof. Meanwhile, according to Kia, the company has received over 1 lakh bookings for the Seltos since its launch back in July 2023. Amongst these, nearly 50 percent are for the automatic variants. Furthermore, the petrol-diesel split number stands at 58:42, implying a healthy demand for the diesel option. Meanwhile, 40 percent of the bookings are for ADAS-equipped models while 80 percent customers opted for trims with a sunroof.

The Seltos comes with a choice of 3 engines:a 1.5-litre NA petrol with 6-speed manual or CVT, a 1.5-litre diesel with 6-speed iMT or 6-speed automatic and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
