The Hyundai Creta is the most popular model of the carmaker, and to celebrate 10 years of the brand in India, it has launched the Creta King Limited Edition. This limited edition features a few goodies and a sporty exterior theme, appealing to style-conscious Creta buyers who also want to make a statement. Let’s see what the Creta King Limited Edition gets over the standard Creta King:
The exterior of the Creta King Limited Edition stays close to the standard Creta King. At the front, you get a parametric grille finished in dark chrome. Square-shaped LED headlamps are retained as well, along with a connected DRL setup with sequential turn indicators. Towards the side, the 18-inch alloys now come finished in matte black with red brake callipers to drive home the sporty feeling. The chrome door handles and silver C-pillar finish have been swapped for an all-black look to give a unique look.

At the rear end as well, the bumper is blacked out to give it a more sinister vibe. The King Limited Edition also gets an exclusive ‘King’ emblem to make it more special for buyers. Besides this, all the chrome logos and badges around the car have also been blacked out.
Inside the Creta King Limited Edition lies a fully-black theme with gold accents on the dashboard for a classy touch. You still get dual 10.25-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment and the digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, rear sunshades, 2-step reclining rear seats and retractable tray tables with cupholders for rear passengers.

However, touches like ‘King’ branded headrest cushions, floor mats, key cover and seatbelt covers make it feel more special compared to the regular Creta.

The Creta King Limited Edition borrows its equipment list from the regular Creta King variant on which it is based. This means it gets features such as 8-way powered and ventilated front seats with memory settings for the driver, wireless smartphone charger, cruise control, touch-based dual-zone climate control, wired-to-wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay adapter, ambient lighting, 8-speaker Bose sound system, rain-sensing wipers and cooled glovebox.

In terms of safety, the Creta King Limited Edition is armed with 6 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto hold, dashcam, 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system for the utmost peace of mind.

Under the hood, the Creta King Limited Edition is available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a CVT transmission or a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Creta King Limited Edition rivals other compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate.
Hyundai has smartly updated the top-end variant of the Creta with a King moniker. With this limited edition, it plans to leverage the fan following that Creta has enjoyed for the past 10 years, with its loyal fanbase.
Oh, by the way, did we tell you that the “King” moniker is also a homage to the brand ambassador of Hyundai since the brand’s introduction in India, i.e. Shaurakh Khan, whose next film is also called King. So, it’s indeed a very special one for Hyundai!
