Say Hello To The Hyundai Creta King Editions As The Popular Hyundai SUV Turns 10!

Hyundai is celebrating 10 years of the Creta in India, and what better way than to crown it? Hyundai has launched the Creta King, Creta King Limited and Creta King Knight. These editions add some premium features, exclusive styling bits, and a new Black Matte shade to the lineup. But under the skin, the Creta remains mechanically unchanged. 

Before we talk about all the updates and new editions in detail, here are the prices:

Prices

The Creta King range starts at Rs 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom), which is about Rs 1.5 lakh more than the SX Tech trim below it. The King Limited Edition tops out at Rs 20.92 lakh (ex-showroom), commanding roughly Rs 50,000 over the standard King. Meanwhile, the Knight edition sits at a similar premium compared to the regular SX (O) automatic trims, asking for around Rs 1.5 lakh extra.

What’s New In These King Editions?

• King

The Creta King is the new top-of-the-line trim replacing the SX(O). The key updates include powered co-driver seats with memory function for the driver side, dual-zone climate control with a touch panel, a dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and even a nifty front-seatback table with a device holder. 

You also get 18-inch diamond-cut alloys and a special King emblem to make sure everyone knows you’re driving the ‘royal’ version of the Creta.

• King Knight

The Knight edition carries forward its all-black appeal along with matte black alloys and a Knight emblem. 

Other updates are similar to the King edition, so you still get the powered seats, dashcam, wireless Android Auto/CarPlay, and the new dual-zone climate control panel. 

• King Limited Edition

As the name suggests, the King Limited is an exclusive celebratory model that adds a bunch of ‘King’ branded touches, such as seatbelt covers, headrest cushions, carpet mats, and a key cover. 

It can be had in Abyss Black, Atlas White, or the new Black Matte colour.

What's Up With The Creta N-Line?

The Creta N Line variants have also been updated with dual-zone auto AC, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a dashcam. These are now available across both N8 and N10 variants.

The updated prices of the Creta N-line variants range between Rs 18.46 lakh and Rs 20.66 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powertrain Options

All three versions, the King, King Limited Edition and King Knight, continue with the existing Creta engine options as follows:

The standard King edition gets all three engine options except for the turbo-petrol-manual combination, while the Limited Edition and Knight trims are restricted to the petrol CVT and diesel automatic setups.

The new ‘King’ editions are pretty much the SX(O) trims added with more bling, and the timing is clever. The festive season is here in India, so Hyundai will surely pull in more buyers. The touch-panel climate control is borrowed from the Creta Electric and is a sweet little upgrade, and the new top-end trim makes the SUV feel more complete.
