The Honda Vario 160 will be Repsol Honda Team’s paddock vehicle, and there’s one each for Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro too!

Honda’s Indonesian arm, P.T. Astra Honda, has unveiled the Honda Vario 160 with Repsol Honda Team (RHT) livery, intended to serve as Honda MotoGP team’s official paddock vehicle. The company made four of them, two customised with race numbers ‘93’ and ‘44’ specifically for RHT’s MotoGP riders: Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro respectively.

The other two customised Vario 160s will be used by the paddock crew. All the scooters will be put to use in both the pre-season tests and the actual Mandalika MotoGP race. The livery looks perfectly suited to the already sporty looking Vario 160. We really hope Honda offers the livery as a special edition variant soon.

To jog your memory, the Honda Vario 160 is powered by a 156.9cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, churning out a healthy 15.4PS and 13.8Nm. The sporty scooter is loaded with features such as all-LED lighting, apron-mounted cubby hole with USB port, full digital instrument cluster, 18-litre underseat storage compartment, and optional ABS. You can read more about the sporty scooter here.

Honda is not likely to launch the Vario 160 here but if you’re looking for a scooter that looks as sporty as the Vario and offers as much performance, then the Yamaha Aerox 155 is the one to go for. We compared the Aerox 155 with other sporty scooters - the Aprilia SR 160 Race and the TVS NTorq 125 Race XP - and here’s what we found out. And if you’re really looking for a Honda MotoGP-themed scooter, the Honda Grazia 125 Repsol Edition is on sale; but honestly, it doesn’t look nearly as menacing as the Vario 160.
