Your First Look At The Hero Xoom 110cc Scooter

Details of Hero’s upcoming sporty scooter have leaked   from a dealer event. While we expected it to be a 125cc scooter, it is actually a 110cc sporty scooter reportedly called the Maestro Xoom 110. 

The Maestro Xoom 110 flaunts a modern design language. It features an apron-mounted LED headlight, complete with LED DRL which bears a striking resemblance to the headlight of the Hero Glamour XTec. The sleek ‘X’-shaped tail light also adds to the aggressive styling of the scooter. 

The leaked images from the presentation also reveal that the Maestro Xoom will get the i3S (Idle Start Stop System) technology  for enhanced fuel efficiency. We also know that it’ll be getting 12-inch alloys at both ends, an upgrade over the Hero Maestro Edge 110’s 12-/10-inch setup. The scooter  will also flaunt ‘Corner Bend Lamp’, which we think could mean cornering lamps. That said, this feature doesn’t make sense on a 110cc scooter, so we’ll have to wait so see what it is about.

Given that it’s a 110cc scooter, powering it will probably be the same 110.9cc single-cylinder engine that we’ve seen on the Maestro Edge 110 and the Pleasure Plus. The output figures too, might stay the same, at 8.15PS and 8.75Nm. 

In the features’ department, the Maestro Xoom boasts of a fully digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity. With that, the scooter could also get turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts and track-my-vehicle, among other features, something we’ve already seen on the Hero Maestro Edge 125.

Hero could launch the Maestro Xoom 110 in the coming weeks to cash-in on the festive season and it could carry a price tag of around Rs 75,000 (ex-showroom). That way, it’ll take on the Honda Dio in the sporty 110cc scooter segment.
