The festive season kicked off with plenty of action in the automotive space, making October 2025 a noteworthy month for new car launches in India. While the spotlight naturally fell on the heavily updated Mahindra Thar, the month also welcomed a mix of special-edition EVs, variant additions and performance-focused models. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at all the cars launched in October.

2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift

Price: Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom)

Mahindra rolled out a refreshed Thar, bringing sharper styling with tweaked bumpers. Additionally, the 2025 Thar also features updated lighting elements and subtle exterior touches. Inside, it gets a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with an improved interface, new upholstery options and added convenience features including rear AC vents and Type-C ports. The mechanical setup remains unchanged, with engine options including 1.5-litre diesel, 2.2-litre diesel, and 2-litre turbo-petrol. 

It continues its rivalry with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Force Gurkha 3-door.

2025 Mahindra Bolero

Price: From Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Bolero received a modest update, keeping its familiar boxy silhouette while adding features and small styling tweaks. Updates include a revised grille with chrome accents, dark grey-finished alloy wheel options, and new colour choices, including Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey shades. 

The powertrain option remains unchanged, with a 100 PS/ 260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel-drive layout.

2025 Mahindra Bolero

2025 Citroen Aircross X

Price: Rs 8.29 lakh to Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

Citroen launched the Aircross X, which is based on the top-spec Max variant of the SUV. It introduces cosmetic enhancements such as LED projector fog lamps and a new Deep Forest Green paint option. Inside, the update brings a dual-tone black-and-tan cabin theme with tan leatherette upholstery, new ambient and foot-well lighting, plus redesigned AC vents.

Feature additions include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, push-button start/stop, cruise control and a voice-assistant system, supporting 52 Indian and global languages. Powertrain remains unchanged, offering 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine options.

Mahindra Bolero Neo (2025 Facelift)

Price: From Rs 8.49 to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) 

Mahindra updated the Bolero Neo, bringing refreshed styling, new colour options and updated features. The facelift includes changes like a new grille, revised bumpers, LED DRLs, updated alloy-wheel options and fresh interior themes. Inside, the 2025 Bolero Neo gets an updated 9-inch infotainment system, refreshed upholstery options and updated colours to keep the look fresh. 

It continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 100 PS and 260 Nm, paired with a manual transmission.

MG Windsor EV Inspire Edition

Price: Rs 16.65 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs 12.64 lakh + BaaS (ex-showroom)

MG introduced the Inspire Edition for the Windsor EV, limited to 300 units. This edition brings exclusive exterior touches, including a dual-tone paint scheme and darkened alloy wheels. Inside, the Windsor EV Inspire Edition gets ambient lighting and unique upholstery. There are no changes in the powertrain, with the EV continuing to be offered with a 38kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 332 km.

MG Windsor Inspire

Kia Carens CNG

Price: Rs 11.77 lakh (ex-showroom)

Kia introduced a CNG option for the Carens, offered via a dealer-fit Lovato kit. The brand is providing official warranty support for the setup as well, making it a practical choice for commercial users and long-distance private buyers. While detailed output figures have not been revealed yet, it uses the same 115 PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The CNG option is available only in the Premium (O) variant of the MPV.

In terms of features, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, rear sunshades, a 6-speaker sound system, and tilt-adjustable steering.

Kia Carens

Jeep Compass Track Edition

Price: From Rs 26.78 lakh (ex-showroom) 

Jeep India launched the Track Edition of the Compass, a limited-run model based on the top-spec S trim. It receives subtle but distinct styling upgrades such as a hood decal, blacked-out grille elements, 18-inch tech-grey alloy wheels, and contrasting spruce-beige interior highlights. Inside the cabin, changes include new leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching, along with smoke-chrome trim finishes and special floor mats with “Track Edition” engraving. 

Jeep Compass Track Edition

The powertrain remains unchanged, which includes a 2-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm, offered with manual and automatic gearbox choices.

Skoda Octavia RS

Price: Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom)

Skoda has brought back the Octavia RS in India as a limited-run model, with all 100 units snapped up within minutes. It gets a sportier design update with gloss-black elements, Matrix LED headlights and 19-inch alloys. The cabin features an all-black theme with red accents and RS-specific sport seats. 

Power comes from the 2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 256 PS and 370 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG. This enables the Octavia RS to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.4 seconds.

Skoda Octavia RS

Mini Countryman JCW

Price: Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom)

Mini launched the Countryman JCW in India, bringing aggressive exterior styling, quad exhausts and a performance-focused suspension setup. It features a 304 PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with AWD, coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

Feature highlights include a 9.4-inch circular touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon audio system, and 8-way powered seats with ventilation and heat function. On the safety front, it gets Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera system, 6 airbags, and electronic stability control.

Mercedes-Benz G450d

Price: Rs 2.90 crore (ex-showroom)

Mercedes-Benz added the G450d to its G-Class line-up, marking the return of diesel powertrain to its range. Under the hood, the G450d features a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel engine paired with a 48 V mild-hybrid system, delivering 367 PS and 750 Nm of torque. The exterior retains the classic G-Wagen silhouette but introduces subtle updates, including a refreshed bumper, a roof-edged spoiler, and a new A-pillar cladding. 

Inside, you’ll find twin 12.3-inch displays running the latest MBUX software, plush Nappa leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a Burmester sound system.

October brought a good mix of new cars to the Indian market, from the updated Thar 3-door to the Mercedes-Benz G450d. With launches spread across different segments, the month offered something for nearly every type of buyer. As we wrap up October’s launches, the momentum continues into the coming weeks as well.
