Honda Bikes

Honda has a wide range of commuters and big bikes in India. However, there are a lot of interesting international models that have not yet been launched here. Some of these bikes and scooters could fit nicely in between the gaps in Honda India's portfolio. From a lightweight dual sport to an adventure-style scooter, here are 5 Honda two-wheelers that we wish would come to India

Honda CRF300L

The CRF300L is a dual-sport motorcycle. It gets a 286cc liquid-cooled engine making 27.3PS and 26Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It gets long travel suspension, 285mm of ground clearance, and packs genuine off-road ability, which makes it an appealing proposition in the growing adventure/off-road bike segment in India.

Honda ADV160

ADV160

The ADV160 is the easiest to imagine on Indian roads. It is powered by a 156.9cc liquid-cooled engine churning out 16PS and 14.7Nm. It gets rugged adventure-inspired styling, all LED lighting, a 5-inch TFT console, and a large windscreen, which could help it stand out in the premium scooter space in India.

Honda NC750X

Honda NC750X

The Honda NC750X is known for its comfort and practicality. It gets a 745cc parallel-twin engine, which makes 58PS and 69Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a DCT gearbox. It gets a large, spacious seat and a storage compartment where a fuel tank would typically be. It could be a good option for someone looking for an all-around motorcycle for daily riding as well as touring.

Honda CBR500R

Honda CBR500R

The CBR moniker needs no introduction in India. The CBR500R is powered by a 471cc parallel twin engine making 47.5PS and 43Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It offers supersport styling with a relaxed riding position perfect for daily use. It could be a good sporty option for people upgrading from a smaller motorcycle.

Honda Grom

The Honda Grom is a quirky mini bike built for fun rather than practicality. It is powered by a 124.9cc single-cylinder engine, which makes 9.7PS and 10.5Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. While it will not be a mainstream product, it could find a niche as a lifestyle product, appealing to younger riders, and buyers in the custom scene.

ZigSays

The premium scooter and adventure bike segments have seen a boom in recent years. Hence, the ADV160 and the CRF300L have the easiest fit in the country. On the other hand, the NC750X and the CBR500R will cater to a more premium audience, while the Grom could become a lifestyle product. If launched, these products would make Honda’s lineup in India more exciting and diverse.
