Mahindra has never been shy about packing its SUVs with features, but with the XUV 7XO, it has taken things a step further. This updated SUV doesn’t just add more equipment; it introduces several first-time features that are aimed at improving comfort, convenience, and everyday usability. From lighting and suspension upgrades to cabin tech borrowed from Mahindra’s electric SUVs, here’s a closer look at what’s new on the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
The XUV 7XO gets DAVINCI dampers for the first time, making its ride smoother and more controlled. These dampers use a new type of valve with a cleverly designed stack of plates instead of the usual circular discs.
This allows the suspension to separate low-speed bumps from harsher high-frequency road textures, improving comfort while reducing cabin noise and vibrations. The system is fully mechanical, so it’s more cost-effective than semi-active setups, and modular enough to be used in other Mahindra models in the future.

On top of this, the 7XO also gets hydraulic bump stops that cushion the suspension when the car bottoms out, further enhancing comfort and refinement.
The XUV 7XO borrows its three-screen layout from Mahindra’s electric SUVs. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, and a 12.3-inch co-driver display.

This setup is standard across all variants, giving the cabin a futuristic, tech-forward look and making key information accessible to both driver and passenger.
The SUV gets new Bi-LED projector headlamps, which also give it a sharper, more modern face. The setup includes a shorter, but more aggressive DRL, new headlight modules and cube-style fog lights housed in the front bumper, which also get a booster function.

In addition to this, the 7XO also gets a ‘Groove Me’ feature that adds a distinctive lighting signature, allowing occupants to sync the interior ambient lighting and exterior lighting to their favourite music (when the car is stationary, of course).
The new XUV 7XO has a 16-speaker, 1400W Harman Kardon system, featuring Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. This set-up includes 1-centre speaker, 2-mid-range speakers, 4-door-mounted sub-woofers, 8-tweeters, 1 big subwoofer in the boot and an amplifier.

The system supports Dolby Atmos and should turn the interior of this SUV into a concert hall on wheels.
Rear passengers now enjoy ventilated seats and a wireless charging pad. Long journeys are more comfortable and convenient, making the SUV feel thoughtful for everyone on board.

The XUV 7XO introduces a 540-degree camera system. It not only offers a full 360-degree view but also underbody visibility, helping drivers navigate tight spaces, obstacles, and off-road trails with confidence.

Mahindra takes in-car tech further with built-in ChatGPT support for Adrenox on its infotainment screen. Passengers can interact using natural language, ask questions, get route guidance, or even entertainment suggestions, making the SUV’s infotainment feel smarter and more intuitive.

In the 7XO, the driver gets a 6-way powered seat, and the electric boss mode for the front passenger seat allows rear passengers to adjust it for extra legroom via buttons on its side.

It’s adjustable for both recline and reach functions. It’s a subtle but valuable touch, especially for chauffeur-driven journeys.
Rear passengers can also connect their devices via the BYOD feature, with 65 Watt charging for fast power delivery. This makes the SUV practical for work, streaming, or staying connected on the go.

Safety is upgraded with a knee airbag for the driver, adding another layer of protection in the event of a collision. Combined with multiple airbags and Level 2 ADAS features, the XUV 7XO focuses on keeping all occupants secure.

The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is not just about styling or powerful engines. These first-time features, like the DAVINCI dampers to rear BYOD, ventilated seats, and smart tech, make the SUV feel more modern, comfortable, and future-ready. It’s the kind of daily driver that’s enjoyable for both short commutes and long trips.
