2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO 5-Star Crash Safety Test

Mahindra has done it again with the latest XUV 7XO. In typical Mahindra fashion, their popular SUV has now scored a 5-star crash test rating, which further assures many buyers of their confidence in buying themselves a new XUV 7XO. Let's explore the crash test in detail.

Adult Occupant Protection

Score: 30.76 / 32

The 7XO has scored an overall 30.76 out of a possible 32 points for the adult-occupant protection (AOP). Breaking it down, in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test at 64 km/h, it has scored 14.76 out of a possible 16 points. And in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test at 50 km/h, the 7XO has scored a full 16 out of 16.

This indicates that the 7XO has scored higher in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test.

Child Occupant Protection

Score: 44.97 / 49

In this test, BNCAP uses dummies simulating 18-month-old babies and a 3-year-old child in the backseat.

The overall child protection score of the 7XO is 44.97 out of a possible 49. Breaking it down, the dynamic score is 23.97 out of a possible 24, the child-restraint system (CRS) score is 12 out of 12 and the vehicle assessment score is 9 out of a possible 13 points. 

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO: Safety Features

The Mahindra XUV 7XO packs in a good list of safety features, including 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, Level-2 ADAS, hill-hold assist (HHA), 540-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO: Price And Rivals

The XUV 7XO is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh to 25.94 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It goes up against the likes of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Jeep Meridian, and the Hyundai Alcazar.
