The Aprilia Tuono 457 has been spotted testing in India
This is the first time we are seeing the bike in person
Along with the Tuono we also saw the SR 125 and SR 160
The Aprilia Tuono 457 has been spotted testing in India for the first time. This is the first time we are seeing the bike in person, after its unveiling at EICMA 2024. The naked streetfighter will be positioned as the most affordable Aprilia bike in India, after the Aprilia RS 457.

The brand had recently announced that they will be launching the Aprilia Tuono 457 on the 17th or 18th February 2025. So Aprilia India is likely testing the bike before the launch, just to make sure there are no issues. The exclusive spy shots we have obtained shows the bike being tested with camo.
The bike features a muscular design and styling with the sharp looking front section and the chunky looking tank. The design and styling are decent but feels very different from the usual Tuono looks, with the half-fairing which we have seen on the Tuono 660 and the Tuono V4. Some riders may not appreciate this change.

It will be powered by the same engine as the Aprilia RS 457, which is a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which produces 47.6PS and 43.5Nm. The bike features an inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. It rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends.
We expect the bike to be priced around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will go up against the KTM 390 Duke in the naked streetfighter segment. Now if you are someone who is wondering if you should just get the Duke today or wait for the Tuono, then this will give you a clearer picture.

Along with the Tuono 457, we also saw the Aprilia SR 125 and the Aprilia SR 160 being tested. Judging by the images, both have not undergone a lot of changes in terms of design. But we did spot a new digital instrument console on the SR 160. It could likely offer smartphone connectivity and related bits like turn-by-turn navigation.

This will allow Aprilia to better position their scooters to take on the recently launched Hero Xoom 125 and Hero Xoom 160.
