Citroen has announced a special Xplorer edition for its Aircross compact SUV, available with its Plus and Max variants. The special edition comes with a Standard Pack and an Option Pack, priced at a premium of Rs 24,000 and Rs 51,700 over the standard price, respectively. The Standard Pack brings in a host of exclusive cosmetic enhancements to the exterior and a couple of amenities for the interior. In addition to what the Standard Pack offers, the Optional Pack further packs an entertainment screen for the second two seats.

Citroen Aircross Xplorer Edition

The special Xplorer Edition is available only with the Plus and Max variants. The standard prices of these variants range from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh (ex-showroom). However, to get the special edition, you will have to pay an additional Rs 24,000 for the Standard Pack and Rs 51,700 for the Optional Pack. Let’s take a look at the what the special edition packs:

Existing features on the Aircross include a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch fully digital driver's display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio controls and 6 airbags as standard. 

Citroen Aircross Xplorer Edition: Powertrain 

The special edition is available with both engine options of the Aircross. These options include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 110 PS and 190 Nm and an 82 PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The former can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, while the latter can be paired with a 5-speed manual only.

The Citroen Aircross is priced from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh (ex-showroom). While Citroen hasn’t mentioned the timeline, this Xplorer Edition is a limited-run edition.
