Originally, the bikes were supposed to go on sale by the end of this month

After being revived from oblivion last year, BSA is struggling to deliver on the timelines it had set for the Gold Star 650 to arrive in Europe. It was in December 2021 that the bike was first showcased. The bike was supposed to arrive in dealerships by March 2022. It seems this deadline isn’t going to be met.

Currently, BSA, or rather Classic Legends, hasn’t been able to set up a comprehensive dealer network as yet in Europe and the UK. According to a report, the company has stated a new timeline of June, but there’s a possibility of it arriving by late-May as well.

This doesn’t change anything for India, though. The Gold Star 650 is not slated for a launch this year. We were given the impression that the bike is built mainly for exports. If there is a need for such a bike in India, then the company will think about bringing it next year.

The Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that pushes out 45.6PS and 55Nm. The origins of the motor can be traced back to the BMW F 650 Funduro’s mill that was made by Rotax. It has a five-speed gearbox. To know more about the Gold Star 650, head over to this story.
