Honda Cars India is all set to launch the Elevate SUV on our shores on September 4. Pre-launch bookings are open and the model will be offered in four broad trims: SV, V, VX, and ZX. Now, we have learnt that the Elevate’s ADAS features will be limited to just the top-end ZX trim, unlike the City, which gets it in its top three trims.
We suspect this move could have been done to keep the Elevate’s lower- and mid-spec variants a bit more competitively priced.

The Honda Elevate comes with a camera-based ADAS system, consisting of features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, collision avoidance system, and auto high beam assist. To know how the Elevate’s ADAS features work in our road conditions, check out our in-depth first drive review.

Other features on board the Honda Elevate include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, semi-digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charger and keyless entry with push-button start. Additional safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control.

You get only one engine option with the Elevate: a tried and tested 121PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. Honda will also introduce an all-electric version of the Elevate, down the line.

The Honda Elevate has already reached dealerships, with test drives having started as well. We suspect its prices to start around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it in contention with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
