Honda Elevate And Amaze Get A 360-Degree Camera! But There’s A Catch!

The festive season is arriving soon in India, and we are going to see plenty of automakers offer some exciting discounts and benefits to lure in buyers and give them more reasons to finalise the car. Ahead of the festive season, Honda has introduced “The Great Honda Fest”, which introduces a new Elite Pack for the Elevate and some new accessories for the Elevate and the Amaze. So here’s a detailed look at what’s new and how you can benefit from it…

Honda Elevate And Amaze: Elite Pack And New Features!

As part of ‘The Great Honda Fest’, the Honda Elevate gets an Elite Pack, which comprises a 360-degree camera and 7-colour ambient lighting. This pack is offered at no additional cost and is available only with select variants of the Elevate for a limited period. The 360-degree camera will otherwise be available as an accessory for the Elevate, wherein you will have to pay an additional amount to get the premium feature. 

The Amaze also gets a 360-degree camera, but it is available only as an accessory. The 360-degree camera that Honda is offering for their cars is from a third party and will be installed at the official Honda dealership. Warranty for the accessories is limited to 2 years from the date of purchase and is provided by the supplier.

The Elevate also comes with Apex Edition and Black Edition, both of which come with ambient lighting along with other interior tweaks. 

The Elevate is priced from Rs 11.91 lakh (ex-showroom), and takes on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun. 

The Amaze’s prices start from Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom), and it rivals the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.

The Elevate was probably the only SUV in the compact SUV space to not get a surround-view camera, and it was a feature that felt like a big miss. Now with Honda offering the premium safety feature, the Elevate feels like a more value-for-money SUV, especially considering that it undercuts most of its rivals. The only negative is that the 360-degree camera is available for free, only for a limited period of time, and will later only be available as an accessory that will come at a cost. So, hurry up if you have shortlisted the Elevate and want the premium feature while saving some money. 

The Maruti Dzire comes with a 360-degree camera, and the absence of the same on the Amaze felt like a miss. While it gets a blind-view monitor, the addition of the 360-degree camera (as an accessory) might help the Amaze gain some potential customers.
