Honda’s newest ADV doesn’t need a helmet!

Honda Elevate Bold ADV Edition

Adventure tourers are usually the stuff of two wheels and muddy boots, but Honda’s decided to use that nomenclature.

Yes, we aren't talking about Honda 2 Wheelers, we are talking about Honda Cars India, which has launched the Elevate ADV Edition. It takes the brand’s urban SUV and adds a bit of wilderness flavour. It’s not a hardcore off-roader by any stretch, but it tries to look the part.

Exterior: A More Assertive Face

Visually, the Elevate has a mildly stronger stance, darker trims, and sharper highlights. The "Alpha-Bold Plus" grille, which is basically now gets a glossy black finish with a pop of orange, while the same treatment is given to the fog lamp surrounds and bumper. Honda’s also gone heavy on the blacked-out bits: mirrors, handles, roof rails, and even the shark fin antenna.

There are ADV badges on the fenders and doors, while the orange-accented alloy wheels add drama. It’s available in Meteoroid Grey and Lunar Silver, both with the option of a dual-tone roof.

Interior: Is It Halloween?

The cabin sticks to a black-and-orange theme, a combination that gives off a more spooky than sporty vibe, IMHO. There's orange stitching on the seats, ADV logos, and little dashes of colour on the AC knobs and door trims.

The standout feature is a new ADV Terrain Pattern backlit panel, a textured strip across the dashboard that lights up softly in low light. It’s so subtle that you might just miss it.

Powertrain: Same Heart, Slightly Louder Attitude

Mechanically, the ADV Edition doesn’t change the recipe. It is powered by the same ol' tried and tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

That said, the Elevate’s generous ground clearance, light steering, and sorted suspension already make it a comfortable highway companion.

Safety & Tech: Familiar, Yet Solid

The ADV Edition carries forward Honda SENSING, i.e. the ADAS suite, which includes Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Road Departure Mitigation. Standard kit features six airbags, stability control, hill-start assist, and ISOFIX mounts.

A 360-degree camera is available as a dealer fitment, and Honda Connect continues to offer connected car features with a five-year subscription.

Pricing And Rivals

Prices for the Elevate ADV Edition start at Rs 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the manual and Rs 16.66 lakh for the top-spec dual-tone CVT.

It continues to rival the likes of the Skoda Kushaq, the Volkswagen Taigun, the MG Astor, the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos.

Launching special editions towards the year’s end is a familiar move among carmakers, a clever way to clear out inventories before the calendar flips. The ADV Edition, in that sense, might just be Honda’s version of that strategic shuffle.
